New Policy
Major students may take two courses P/F for credit per quarter; minor students may take one course P/F for credit per quarter.
Policy Statement
In light of the extraordinary circumstances in which we find ourselves during this academic year, CLAS has decided to implement a Pass/Fail policy that will allow students to use a specific number of P/F courses towards their degree program. Below is an explanation of the policy and attached is the document that you will submit to me to utilize P/F graded courses toward your degree requirements.
The Pass/Fail option is available for courses taken in Spring 2020, Autumn 2020, and Winter 2021. Students pursuing the LACS major may take up to 2 courses per quarter, with a cap of 4 courses total, for a Pass/Fail grade. Students pursuing the LACS minor may take up to 1 course per quarter, with a cap of 3 courses total, for a Pass/Fail grade.
