New Policy
Students may P/F four classes for the Philosophy major and three classes for the Philosophy minor. Students may petition for additional P/F courses.
Policy Statement
The Department of Philosophy is extending its policy allowing courses graded on a P/F basis to count towards the Philosophy major or minor […] a maximum of four courses taken P/F can count towards the Philosophy major, and a maximum of three courses can count towards the Philosophy minor. […] Students who have special reasons for needing to take additional classes P/F may petition the Director of Undergraduate Studies (Agnes Callard) to do so.

Standard Policy
Courses cannot be taken P/F. One exception is for students in the intensive track, who may take PHIL 29901 P/F.
